6 Things To Do In Skegness in 2015
If you’re coming along on our July break to Skegness you might be planning what to do during your stay, so we’ve come up with a great list of options…!
As well as our two included day trip excursions to Boston & Spalding and Lincoln, you may want inspiration for other attractions and places to visit, so here are our 6 favourite places and things to do!
- Natureland Seal Sanctuary
Come along and see all of Natureland’s rescued seal pups that have been found injured or orphaned on Lincolnshire coastlines.
With kids and adults alike in awe of the wonderful creatures as they recover at this TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence attraction, there is something for everyone to enjoy, discover and learn.
Rated the #1 attraction in Skegness (on TripAdvisor), there aren’t just seals to provide squeals of delight, but penguins, reptiles, tropical fish and even goats!
- Skegness Stadium
This venue is a long-standing attraction for families and groups alike, with monster trucks, stunt bikes and stock car racing all to be witnessed.
There are a number of events scheduled to go ahead during our Skegness break, so visit the website for yourself and have a great day at the racing at Skegness Stadium!
- Day Pass to Butlin’s, Skegness
Although it might be the brilliant week’s holiday for some, for others it is perfect for just the day, while you explore the sub-tropical Splash Waterworld, live daytime entertainment in the Skyline Pavilion or traditional outdoor funfair.

- Fantasy Island
Situated on the Ingoldmells coastline and a stone’s throw from Skegness, this park includes a 7 day market and 27 thrill seeking rides, so the family can be sure to enjoy a day at the theme park and market.
With plenty of passes for rides and indoor entertainment shows, every one of your family will enjoy one of the many attractions here.
- Enjoy a day at the seaside – Skegness Pier and Central Beach
Take a dip in the chilly sea and do your best to catch a tan on the golden beach, before enjoying typical UK seaside delights like the penny arcades, fish and chips and ice cream!
Skegness pier includes bowling, amusements, laser quest and a soft play area, with the advantage of a restored pier complete with free deckchairs to catch the rays and enjoy the view.
- The Parrot Zoo at Boston
This charity organisation has built landscaped gardens set over 16.3 acres for over 1700 resident parrots – the largest collection of rehomed parrots in the UK – as well as many other animals.
Come along and see the parrots, reptiles and mammals – including meerkats – with your family in this beautiful setting.
