11. Coronavirus (COVID-19) Travel update
There is clear advice from the Government and the Health Secretary that people should not panic about the COVID-19 outbreak and that business should continue as normal. The risk to individuals is currently low, and the Chief Medical Officer has stated that there is no clear rational for closing events or cancelling trips as a measure for containing the spread of Coronavirus.
We are aware that this is still a developing situation and rest assured that Stanley Travel are keeping up to date with changes to advice regarding travel and the sensible steps we can all take to contain the outbreak whilst not causing unnecessary worry or concern. The health and safety of all passengers, customers and staff is always our primary concern. To this end Stanley Travel are undertaking enhanced hygiene measures such as cleaning all
grab rails, handles and other such hard surfaces daily using medical grade sanitising products in addition to our already comprehensive cleaning routine.
Our staff are being issued with hand sanitiser for their and your protection and are always being encouraged to follow good hygiene practices. We also ask that all customers/suppliers/visitors using our services take any items such as used tissues with them when they vacate a vehicle or premises thus preventing other people having to
remove them with the associated risk.
We will continue to operate all contracts, private hires and services unless Government intervention dictates otherwise. Customers are advised that unless official sanctions are put in place to restrict travel, if you wish to cancel a booking with us, our normal scale of cancellation charges will apply.
Regular monitoring of the situation will continue and we will act accordingly to any advice given including travel embargo.
