Frequently Asked Questions
Are Stanley Travel still open?
Our general office is open during normal business hours of 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. For any queries outside of these times, please call our 24 hour number – 01207 230 000.
What measures have you put in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19 to protect passengers & staff?
Stanley Travel are committed to reducing the spread of any disease and maintain the health of our staff and passengers. We are adhering with all government guidelines, social distancing and delivering our service in accordance with essential travel legislation. We have been closely following the Government guidance relating to the transport industry and have developed effective procedures that are followed by every member of staff when using our vehicles prior, during and after the hire of our coaches.
How is social distancing being enforced?
The safety of our drivers and passengers is our number one focus. We have introduced a range of safety measures including access and egress rules for the coaches, protection measures for the drivers and demarked the seating. Our drivers will be able to instruct fully on the measures in place for your safety.
How do you know that the people travelling on your buses are actually making an essential journey?
The current government guidelines are:
Stay Alert, Control the Virus, Save Lives.
If you can work from home, we strongly encourage you to do so in line with the guidance. However, we understand that there are a number of key and essential workers who are unable to work from home, and for these workers we recommend to only travel when essential and practise social distancing. At present, all of our current clients are keyworkers or companies needing to transport key workers whilst maintaining social distancing.
Should I take any extra measures whilst travelling?
Should you need to travel, we would ask that you follow any directions given by our drivers or via the onboard signs. It has been well publicised that the best way to protect against COVID-19 is by thoroughly cleaning your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water often and for at least 20 seconds. Additionally, you may consider the use of rubber gloves or a face mask while in public places.
Have any of your staff been furloughed?
We have had to furlough some of our staff during this crisis. As a team, we are keeping in regular contact with each other and spirits are high. While some travel has decreased, such as schools transport, these have been replaced by new contracts to support key and essential worker transport. As we begin to fulfil these contracts, we have been able to bring the team back to work.
A trip we had booked has been cancelled – what happens next?
Please get in touch with the general office via phone or email and we will assist you with your specific enquiry.
Can we still book a coach?
Stanley Travel are open for business and aim to provide you with our usual high levels of customer service and hospitality that have been the foundation of our reputation. Please get in touch with our team via phone or email and we will be delighted to help you.
