Everything You Need To Know About Whitby’s Goth Weekend
A staple for the North Yorkshire coast, Whitby’s Goth Weekend guarantees a Halloween weekend of fun, ghouls and amazing scenes!
Whitby’s Goth Weekend has a legion of fans thanks to its long history, with the first weekend taking place in 1994 and started with just a single group of friends interested in the town’s Dracula connections.
In the years since then the locals have embraced this alternative weekend and the twice-yearly influx of goths, punks and people from all walks of life looking to celebrate and enjoy this unique event.
Originally the name Whitby Goth Weekend was specifically for the two day Goth music festival in the Spa pavilion, but today universally covers all of the events taking place from the Thursday – Monday.
Today the weekend results in a £1.1m boost to the local economy.
