Visit St. Nicholas Fair, York, November 26th

14th November 2016

St. Nicholas Fair in York continues to bring magical festivities and merriment and Stanley Travel is visiting on Saturday 26th November!

Bring the family to St. Nicholas Fair and take in the sights, sounds and smells of York’s ultimate Christmas experience.

York comes alive with Victorian costumed traders, carol singers and the homely smells of roasted chestnuts and hot chocolate laced with brandy.

Enjoy mulled wine and soak up the atmosphere as traditional chalets shine from their positions in Parliament Street, St Sampson’s Square and The Judge’s Lodging. These will be the home of Small Business Christmas, wherein stalls will sell locally-made handcrafted gifts.

Why not explore Davygate and Coppergate too for inspirational gift and stocking filler ideas? There’s also flavour to be found at York’s famous Shambles Market.

Thor’s Tipi is back on Parliament Street too after its popular first season, so make the most of it and cosy up around the log fit and enjoy a hot chocolate – or something stronger! The tipi is home to an independent licensed bar that will be selling mulled wine, Christmas cocktails and draft ales.

Barley Hall will be hosting a craft market complete with medieval dress and craft demonstrations – it will be like stepping back in time!

Children will delight in meeting Santa Claus himself at Barley Hall and they will also receive a gift – pre-book this at barleyhall.co.uk.
